PUBLIC PARKS ALONG THE BYWAY

There are numerous parks along the Seneca Lake Scenic Byway that are accessible to the public.

CLUTE PARK, WATKINS GLEN

Tucked away at the south end of Seneca Lake, Clute Park is a haven of comfort for locals and tourists alike.  The park offers RV and tent camping, dock rentals, and over 30 acres of open space for recreation.  There are also tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, swimming and bathhouses, picnic tables, playgrounds, a skate park, and plenty of fireplaces for BBQs.  A boat launch is also adjacent to the park.

SMITH PARK, HECTOR

Smith Memorial Park is a campground located on Seneca Lake in Hector, NY that attracts seasonal and weekend visitors looking to explore the natural beauty of the region's largest lake.  Camping and picnicking facilities are available, as well as a boat launch, swimming beach, pavilions, and showers.  Explore over 2000 feet of lake frontage at the park's lakeside beach.

LODI POINT STATE PARK, LODI

Typical of points in the Finger Lakes, Lodi Point is shaped like a comma.  Here, the water along the beach is so clear, it almost seems to disappear. In the early morning, the water can be calm and deep blue. From the point, you can see for miles in both a northerly and southerly direction.  Open year round, there are playgrounds, a picnic pavilion, a marina, and plenty of open space.
